At the Web 3.0 Festival, Ian Campbell Cole and I ran hands-on workshops exploring generative AI tools—many participants were trying them out for the very first time. The sessions encouraged playful experimentation while sparking open conversations about how these tools might fit into education and creative practice.

We wrapped up the festival by presenting our own work with generative AI in product design, sharing the frameworks we’ve developed to help students engage critically and creatively with this fast-moving technology.

The workshops offered an accessible, curiosity-driven entry point into AI, welcoming a mix of academics, students, and members of the public. It was all about exploration—embracing both the excitement and the challenges that come with these new tools. And judging by the energy in the room, that mix of wonder and caution was right on point.
