The CARRERA project showcases a complete design process, from the initial concept to the final mass-produced product line. It began with the challenge of developing a competitive beard trimmer for the European market, which evolved through team collaboration in sketch development and user feedback from hair salons.
This process sparked the creation of a new personal care brand, differentiated from existing products through new product development and rebranding. This new direction, inspired by the automotive and cosmetic industries, resulted in a range focused on functionality rather than conventional aesthetics.
My involvement expanded from concept to design engineering, overseeing the development of eight products over eight months. Working alongside international supplier componentry with trips to China for collaborative engineering and quality control of the final outcomes. The final result was a distinctive product line, poised to compete confidently with market leaders.
